Meet our SOAC Family: The Ingalls!
Q: How long have you been members of SOAC?
A: Our family joined SOAC in 2017 and has enjoyed every minute of our time there since that year. Three years ago, my parents joined in on the fun.
Q: As parents of 4 daughters, what do you enjoy most about your SOAC membership?
A: It is hard to decide what we enjoy most about SOAC for our children, but we can narrow it down to the tennis program, the swimming program, and the fitness classes. Three of our daughters play tennis and have thrived in the junior’s program. The coaches are a big reason why we are there. Coach Luke and Coach Joe are some of the most positive, encouraging, and motivating people. They have created a wonderful environment and community for the girls. This past summer our youngest decided to try the swim team and it opened up a whole new activity for her and another wonderful encouraging environment. Coach Monica and Coach Madison helped make it a great experience for her, and, because of that, she has been able to further her swimming skills through the junior fall swim clinics. My oldest daughter is not a tennis player or a swimmer but is an active runner and now that she is old enough enjoys strength training and cross training by taking HIIT and cycling classes. On top of that this past summer she was able to lifeguard at the pool.
Q: What do your girls love about SOAC?
A: My girls love their tennis coaches and swimming coaches. They love SOAC’s chicken tenders and ICEES. They love a family day at the pool.
Q: What advice would you give other families who are interested in joining SOAC?
A: The best advice I would give families trying to decide whether or not to join would be to not hesitate. There are so many ways everyone in your family can get involved. The environment is very welcoming where you feel comfortable no matter where you are on your fitness journey.
